French President Emmanuel Macron said that his American counterpart, Donald Trump, has proposed a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. Speaking to reporters at the G7 summit in Kananskis, Canada on Monday local time, Macron said, "A proposal has been made to achieve a ceasefire and open up a broader dialogue." Macron said in French, "It would be a very good thing if the United States could achieve a ceasefire, and France would support this initiative, we hope so." He said, "All attacks on energy, administrative, and cultural infrastructure, as well as attacks on civilians, must stop immediately. This is crucial." He added, "There can be no justification for these actions."
