United Nations June climate conference focuses on global adaptation goals implementation
The United Nations June Climate Conference and the sixty-second session of its subsidiary bodies opened in Bonn, Germany on the 16th. The conference focuses on advancing the implementation of global adaptation goals, and will engage in discussions on just transition pathways, climate financing, and other topics. The conference will continue until the 26th, with over 5000 government representatives, civil society representatives, and other relevant stakeholders expected to attend. According to the agenda, the conference will continue negotiations on developing indicators related to global adaptation goals and to promote the gradual implementation of the adaptation agenda. Participants will also discuss just transition pathways and exchange views on achieving the annual target of at least $1.3 trillion in climate financing.
