The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index closed up 2% today. Popular Chinese concept stocks RGC rose by about 280%, Universal Data rose by 9.5%, Bilibili rose by 5.5%, Xiaomi rose by 4.8%, Alibaba rose by 2.7%, Xiaopeng, Pinduoduo, and JD.com all rose by over 2%, and Tencent rose by 0.4%. The Chinese concept ETF YINN rose by 4.5%, KWEB, CQQQ, and DRAG all rose by over 2%.

Accenture: The oil and gas industry still has good returns and demand is expected to continue to rise.

Muqsit Ashraf, Chief Executive Officer of the Strategic Group responsible for Accenture, stated at the Energy Asia conference that the oil and gas industry is still a good investment. He pointed out that the industry continues to maintain double-digit returns on capital (usually between 15% and 25%), while the returns on renewable energy are lower. He also stated that demand is expected to continue to rise, with oil consumption potentially increasing in the next 5-10 years and natural gas demand expected to increase by 30% to 40% in the next 10 years. He also mentioned that the industry is facing a natural decline in shale oil production, which must be replaced or supplemented, therefore requiring ongoing investment.
