According to CCTV News, the 55th Paris Air Show opened at the Bourget Airport in Paris, France on June 16th local time. As one of the largest aviation shows in the world, this year's event attracted more than 2,400 exhibitors from nearly 50 countries and regions. However, on the opening day of the air show, several Israeli exhibitors' booths were closed by the organizers. It is reported that four Israeli companies participating in the Paris Air Show refused to remove their offensive weapons from the booths, so the organizers erected a black wall and "closed" the four booths on the eve of the opening of the air show. The closed booths included Elbit Systems Ltd., Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd., and UVISION Air Ltd. Several smaller Israeli companies without hardware displays and the Israeli Ministry of Defense booth remained open as usual. French Prime Minister Beru said on the 16th that considering the situation in the Gaza Strip, they believe that offensive weapons should not be displayed at this air show. On the same day, the Israeli Ministry of Defense condemned the actions of the Paris Air Show organizers as "outrageous and unprecedented" and demanded that the French immediately remove the black wall.
