German bond yields retreated, as investors' concerns about inflation risks related to Iran eased.
At the end of the European market on Monday, the yield on Germany's 10-year government bond fell by 0.8 basis points to 2.527%, trading between 2.589% and 2.516% during the day. With international oil prices surging and then falling back, investors' concerns about inflation risks have eased. The yield on Germany's 2-year government bond dropped by 1.5 basis points to 1.841%, trading between 1.890% and 1.837% during the day. The yield on Germany's 30-year government bond fell by 0.1 basis points to 2.986%. The yield spread between 2-year and 10-year German government bonds increased by 0.631 basis points to +68.172 basis points.
