DMA regulatory storm re-emerges: Apple (AAPL.US) faces another lawsuit from the EU over App Store rules

According to the CITIC Securities APP, media reports citing informed sources revealed that the US consumer electronics giant Apple Inc. (AAPL.US) may soon receive another lawsuit from the European Commission if it does not quickly correct certain behaviors that are accused of violating the EU's "Digital Markets Act" (DMA). Previously, some violations had resulted in a fine of 500 million euros earlier this year. EU officials are preparing to issue a final ultimatum to Apple, requiring it to allow developers to inform customers of cheaper transactions outside the App Store; the deadline is June 26th.
