Australian natural gas producer Santos announced on June 16 that it has received a non-binding indicative acquisition proposal from a consortium led by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company's investment division, XRG. The consortium members also include Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company (ADQ) and The Carlyle Group. Santos stated that the indicative cash offer of $5.76 per share from the XRG-led consortium values the company at $18.7 billion.
