On June 16, the Chengdu Commerce Bureau official WeChat account released a message, stating that since the National Tax Administration, together with the Ministry of Commerce and five other departments, announced further optimization of the outbound tax refund policy and service measures on April 27, the tourism consumption market in Sichuan has ushered in new vitality, with the spending by overseas tourists continuing to rise. According to data from the Sichuan Provincial Taxation Bureau, in the first month of implementing the new outbound tax refund policy, the number of tax refund transactions in the province increased by 194.87% compared to the previous year, and the sales of tax refund shops increased by 224.18%. Currently, the number of "buy now, refund now" outbound tax refund shops in the province has expanded from 49 before the new policy implementation to 84, and the tax refund service network has further expanded.
