Hong Kong Tourism Board: The number of visitors to Hong Kong in May increased by 20% compared to the same period last year.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board announced on June 16 that the number of visitors to Hong Kong reached 4.08 million in May, an increase of 20% compared to the same period last year, driven by the "May Day Golden Week" holiday in mainland China, as well as large-scale concerts, conferences, and exhibitions. From January to May this year, the total number of visitors to Hong Kong exceeded 20 million, a 12% increase compared to the previous year. Among them, approximately 15.2 million visitors were from mainland China, an increase of 10% compared to the previous year.
