Feng Lianghui, spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics, stated that in May, the national service industry production index increased by 6.2% year-on-year, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month. In terms of industry, the production index of information transmission, software and information technology services, leasing and business services, wholesale and retail industries increased by 11.2%, 8.9%, and 8.4% year-on-year respectively, which was faster than the service industry production index by 5.0, 2.7, and 2.2 percentage points, respectively.
