"The 2025 New Energy Vehicle Rural Outreach Campaign launches today."

On the morning of June 15th, the 2025 New Energy Vehicles to the Countryside event organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, and the National Energy Administration was launched in Rugao, Jiangsu. According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the number of models of new energy vehicles eligible for the 2025 New Energy Vehicles to the Countryside program has increased significantly compared to previous years, surpassing 100 for the first time and reaching 124 models, covering everything from microcars to luxury cars to meet the diverse needs of consumers. In addition, this year's New Energy Vehicles to the Countryside will select a number of typical county-level cities with high market potential but low promotion rates of new energy vehicles to hold several special events, radiating out to surrounding towns and villages. At the same time, synergies will be formed with pilot projects to address the shortcomings of charging and swapping facilities in county-level areas, as well as pilot projects for the integration of intelligent connected vehicles with the cloud, in order to promote the flow of high-quality resources to rural areas. A relevant official from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that this year's New Energy Vehicles to the Countryside also encourages participation from market entities in various fields such as production, sales, finance, charging and swapping, and after-sales services of new energy vehicles, combined with policies such as "scrappage for new" to create integrated promotion plans tailored to consumers, including "purchase discounts + energy support + service guarantees".
