Qiongzhou Strait passenger ferry resumes operation with over 2700 vehicles waiting to cross.
Typhoon "Butterfly" gradually weakened its impacts, and the ferry service across the Qiongzhou Strait officially resumed at 3 am on the 15th. Prior to this, a large number of vehicles and passengers waiting to cross had been stuck on the north shore of the Qiongzhou Strait due to the typhoon. As of 4 pm on the 14th, there were about 2750 trucks and approximately 3025 passengers stranded on the north shore of the Qiongzhou Strait. It is expected to face significant pressure in clearing the backlog once the ferry service resumes.
