French President Macron said at a panel discussion at the VivaTech conference in Paris that France must establish a presence in the global tech supply chain by producing the most advanced 2 to 10nm semiconductors in the world. However, he also admitted that in order to achieve these goals, France may need multinational companies such as TSMC or Samsung to set up manufacturing plants in the country.
