Fujian Province initiates Level emergency response to typhoon prevention.
This year's first typhoon "Butterfly" made landfall again around 12:30 in the afternoon in the western coastal area of Leizhou City, Guangdong. It is expected to move in a northeast direction, gradually weakening in intensity. Under its circulation, from the evening of the 15th to the daytime of the 16th, the wind force along the northern coast of Fujian Province and the western part of the Fujian Eastern Fishing Ground could reach level 8-9, with gusts up to level 10-11; while the wind force along the central coast and the central part of the Fujian Fishing Ground could reach level 7-8, with gusts up to level 9-10. On the 14th, there will be showers or thunderstorms in the whole province, with scattered heavy rain in some counties and cities such as Longyan, Nanping, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou, Xiamen, Putian, and Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, with localized heavy rain. On the 15th, most parts of the province will experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rain, while some areas inland and along the southern coast may experience heavy rain, with localized heavy rain. On the 16th, most parts of the province will experience cloudy skies with showers or thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing moderate to heavy rain and localized heavy rain. The Fujian Provincial Meteorological Bureau issued a "Typhoon Warning Level IV" at 14:00 on June 14th. According to the relevant regulations of the "Fujian Provincial Flood Prevention, Drought Resistance, and Typhoon Emergency Response Plan" and the "Emergency Response Work Regulations of the Fujian Provincial People's Government Flood Prevention, Drought Resistance, and Typhoon Command Center," the provincial flood control headquarters decided to activate the Level IV emergency response for typhoon prevention at 14:00 on June 14th.
