The Ministry of Transport has listed for special supervision and management the collapse of the formwork support for the "5.16" bridge on the Yijin Expressway (G4216) in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province.

Recently, the Ministry of Transport, in accordance with the "Regulations on Warning Talks and Supervision and Enforcement of Traffic Safety Production"decided to upgrade the control of the collapse of the formwork support for the "516" bridge on the Yijin Expressway G4216 in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and implement supervision and enforcement. It is understood that on May 16, a collapse of the formwork support for the XJ15 Mark West Su Jiao Bridge on the Yijin Expressway G4216 in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, resulted in the deaths of 3 people. The construction unit is Sichuan Along the River Yijin Expressway Co., Ltd., the general contractor is Sichuan Highway and Bridge Construction Group Co., Ltd., the construction unit for the XJ15 section is Sichuan Road and Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd., the design unit is Sichuan Province Highway Planning, Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., and the supervisory unit is Zhejiang Highway and Water Transport Engineering Supervision Co., Ltd. The local transportation authorities are required to conduct accident investigations in accordance with their responsibilities, quickly identify the relevant reasons, and punish the responsible units and personnel in accordance with the law and regulations, to ensure that the safety responsibility of all parties involved is enforced and to ensure the stability of safety production in the industry.
