Iraq closes its airspace, suspends all domestic air traffic.

On the morning of June 13th local time, Iraq announced the closure of its airspace and the suspension of all air traffic at its domestic airports. The Iraqi Ministry of Transportation issued a statement on that day, stating that due to the tense security situation in the region, Iraq had begun gradually clearing all inbound, outbound, and transit flights in Iraqi airspace on the early morning of the 13th. Iraq will continue to fully suspend flight operations at all airports in the country and close its airspace until further notice, in order to ensure the safety of civil aviation in Iraqi airspace.
