US Transport Secretary says no reason found yet to ground Boeing 787.
On the 12th local time, Boeing CEO Ottoborg stated that he had communicated with the Chairman of Air India and provided full support, while also offering information about the crashed aircraft as requested by the Indian Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau. The Boeing 787 is the latest generation of twin-aisle aircraft under the American company Boeing, known as the "Dreamliner." This is the first fatal air accident involving this aircraft model. The crashed aircraft was delivered to Air India in January 2014 and has been in service for over 11 years. U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Daffy and Acting FAA Administrator Rochelle stated at a press conference on the 12th that they have not seen any immediate safety data requiring the grounding of Boeing 787 flights after the Indian crash.
