Chinese enterprise undertakes the construction of the container yard at the Port of Poti in Georgia and puts it into operation.

The multimodal container yard at the Poti Port in Georgia, constructed by China Railway 23rd Bureau Group Co., Ltd., officially commenced operation on the 9th. It is estimated that the project will create more than 300 new job opportunities in the local area and promote the development of local logistics and trade. The project is located in the core area of the Poti Port, covering an area of 7.8 hectares. The construction includes container stacking yards, specialized areas for refrigerated containers, dedicated railway lines, customs inspection stations, and supporting fire-fighting facilities. With an annual designed handling capacity of 80,000 standard containers, it can meet the increasing freight demand of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor.
