Hong Kong: "Stablecoin Regulations" will take effect on August 1st.

According to the information obtained by the Wise Finance APP, on June 6th, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government published the "Stable Coin Regulations (Effective Date) Notice" in the Gazette, designating August 1st, 2025 as the date the "Stable Coin Regulations" (Chapter 656) (the "Regulations") will come into effect. The Regulations were promulgated on May 30th, 2025, with the main purpose of regulating activities involving stable coins and establishing a licensing system for regulated stable coin activities in Hong Kong.
