Japan is considering emergency importing foreign rice.

On the 6th, Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Shinjiro Koizumi, stated at a press conference that in order to suppress the rise in rice prices, they are considering emergency imports of foreign rice if all of the reserved rice has been released and there is no inventory available.
