The annual report on anti-monopoly enforcement in China is released.
Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation released the "Annual Report on China's Antitrust Enforcement". The report points out that in 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation firmly grasped the key task of accelerating the construction of a unified national market, increased the enforcement efforts in key areas of anti-monopoly regulation, concluded 11 cases of monopoly agreements and abuse of market dominance throughout the year, imposed administrative penalties on 1 case of refusal or obstruction of investigation, and concluded 643 cases of concentration of business operators. The State Council issued the "Regulations on Fair Competition Review", vigorously rectified issues of local protection and market division, initiated investigations into 72 cases of abuse of administrative power to exclude or restrict competition; deepened international antitrust cooperation, and signed cooperation memorandums with 4 countries including Italy; held a national fair competition conference and China fair competition policy propaganda week, actively creating a more fair and dynamic market environment for all types of market entities, and promoting high-quality economic development.
