Chinese car brands made a collective appearance at the United Nations Road Safety Week in Bangkok, Thailand.
The United Nations Road Safety Week series of activities will be held at the headquarters of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand from June 2-5, 2025. During this period, the United Nations World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations Working Group on Automated Driving and Connected Vehicles will jointly organize a demonstration and experience event on automated driving technology and products with the Road Traffic Safety Forum. Chinese companies such as Changan Automobile, GAC Group, BYD Auto, and Great Wall Motor, under the organization of the China International Development and Innovation Alliance of Automotive Enterprises, will participate in the "static display + dynamic test drive" activities alongside international manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover. They will showcase the latest automated driving systems and products such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and automated parking, and will use intelligent networking technology to provide Southeast Asian markets with safer, greener, and more intelligent new car models. Over 100 experts from international organizations such as the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the World Automobile Manufacturers Association, the European Union, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, as well as experts from related countries and regions, will be on site to observe and experience China's new technologies and products.
