According to the Wisdom Financial APP, chip giant Broadcom (AVGO.US) announced better-than-expected second quarter results, but the guidance for the third quarter was not impressive enough, disappointing some investors. The financial report shows that in the second quarter ending May 4th, Broadcom's revenue increased by 20% year-on-year to $15 billion, slightly higher than analysts' average expectations of $14.96 billion; adjusted net profit was $7.79 billion, an increase of 44% year-on-year; adjusted earnings per share were $1.58, better than analysts' average expectations of $1.56.
