Laboratory Simulation of Extreme "Quantum Vacuum" Effect

The University of Oxford in the UK and the Higher Technical Institute of Lisbon University in Portugal have collaborated to achieve, for the first time, real-time 3D simulation of the manipulation of "quantum vacuum" by a strong laser beam using advanced computational models. This groundbreaking achievement marks the first time that humans have simulated the interaction between light and empty space in a laboratory setting, turning concepts that previously existed only in science fiction novels into reality.
