US stocks fluctuate | Chip sector rises, Philadelphia Semiconductor Index up 1.5%

As of the time of writing, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose by 1.5%, Micron Technology (MU.US) rose by over 5%, Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US) rose by over 1.5%, Broadcom (AVGO.US) rose by over 1.2%, and Nvidia (NVDA.US) rose by 1.28%. In terms of news, US Commerce Secretary Lutnick stated that President Trump hopes to establish a complete chip supply chain in the United States. Lutnick said that efforts are being made to build advanced chip factories within 18 months, aiming to produce 5 million wafers during Trump's presidency.
