The Baltic Dry Index reached its highest level since the end of March, driven by strong demand for Capesize and Panamax vessels. The Baltic Dry Index rose by 137 points or 9.2%, marking the seventh consecutive trading day of increases, reaching 1626 points, the highest level since March 26. The Capesize vessel index rose by 364 points or 14.7%, reaching 2845 points, the highest level since March 14. Daily profits for Capesize vessels increased by $3016 to $23592. The Panamax vessel index rose by 66 points or 5.8%, reaching 1211 points, approaching a two-week high. Daily profits for Panamax vessels increased by $592 to $10899. The Supramax vessel index fell by 4 points to 936, the lowest level since April 14.
