National summer grain wheat harvest progress exceeds half, laying a solid foundation for a bumper harvest throughout the year.

The latest agricultural and rural affairs dispatch from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs shows that the large-scale machine harvesting of summer wheat is continuing to move northward in China. As of now, 1.82 million hectares of wheat have been harvested, with overall progress over halfway. Following the successful conclusion of the harvest in Hubei and Sichuan, Anhui and Henan are also entering the final stages of their wheat harvest. According to forecasts, a new round of rainfall will arrive nationwide on June 6, with most wheat harvesting areas experiencing light to moderate rain. Various regions are already deploying emergency harvesting operations in advance, strengthening the link between harvesting and sowing, and making efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of mechanized planting, laying a solid foundation for a bountiful harvest of grains throughout the year.
