According to media reports, the Trump administration is considering allowing tourists and other non-immigrant visa applicants to pay $1000 for expedited interview appointments, despite warnings from government lawyers. Currently, individuals entering the U.S. with tourist and other non-immigrant visas are required to pay a $185 processing fee. The new $1000 option being considered by the U.S. government would be a premium service allowing for "visa interview bypass." According to the internal memo, this plan could potentially start as early as December this year.
