Chen Yongjia introduced that since the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security has introduced a series of policy measures to stabilize employment, such as increasing the loan amount for stabilizing and expanding employment, expanding the range of subsidies for expanding employment, continuing to implement policies for stabilizing employment returns and skills upgrading subsidies, and fully unleash policy dividends. In the first quarter, a total of 35.2 billion yuan in stabilizing employment funds was issued, 23.8 billion yuan in employment subsidies was spent, and 156.3 billion yuan in special loans for stabilizing and expanding employment was issued. "Through the concerted efforts of all parties, employment this year has started steadily and overall stable. Urban employment has steadily increased from January to April, faster than the seasonal progress; the average urban surveyed unemployment rate is 5.2%, lower than the regulatory target," said Chen Yongjia.
