Deputy Director Song Hongkun of the National Energy Administration: By the end of April, the installed capacity of wind power, photovoltaics, and nuclear power has historically exceeded that of thermal power.

On June 5, Song Hongkun, Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration, stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that as of the end of April this year, China's installed capacity of renewable energy power generation had reached 2.017 billion kilowatts, an increase of 58% compared to the previous year; the installed capacity of wind power, photovoltaic power, and nuclear power reached 1.53 billion kilowatts, historically surpassing the installed capacity of thermal power.
