Two departments jointly deployed actions to standardize and upgrade by the end of April next year, adding and renovating over a thousand "driver's homes".

The Ministry of Transport and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions jointly issued the "Notice on Carrying out the Standardization and Improvement Action of 'Drivers' Homes' in Highway Service Areas", proposing to upgrade existing "drivers' homes" by the end of September this year and gradually promote the construction of new "drivers' homes". By the end of April 2026, a total of more than 1000 standardized and improved "drivers' homes" will be added or renovated in highway service areas nationwide.
