US car sales plummet in May, dismal car sales volume

Industry data company Wards Intelligence Corporation in the United States released data on the 3rd showing that light vehicle sales in the United States in May experienced the largest drop in five years. The measure of imposing a 25% tariff on imported cars by the US government took effect on April 3. Analysts believe that one of the reasons for the poor sales in May is that American consumers rushed to purchase vehicles in March and April before prices increased.
