The German Mechanical Engineering Association said on Wednesday that orders for German factories and equipment manufacturers fell by 6% in April, attributing the decline to the tariff policies of U.S. President Trump and the resulting market uncertainty. VDMA stated in a release that domestic orders declined by 4% in April, while foreign orders fell by 7%, with orders from countries outside the eurozone experiencing a particularly severe decline of 13%.
