Today, the Department of Natural Resources of Guangdong Province issued a public announcement on the procurement of research services for the "Guangdong Marine Strong Province Indicator System Study". It will focus on the need to comprehensively promote the construction of a strong marine province and achieve new breakthroughs in building a new Guangdong on the sea. The research will aim to establish an indicator system for Guangdong's marine strong province, conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of the construction of a strong marine province in Guangdong, clarify the functional positioning, preparation principles, indicator explanations, and calculation methods of the marine strong province indicator system, demonstrate the sources of data for the indicator system, propose innovative solutions for data sharing, and provide a supporting marine professional directory to ensure that the marine strong province indicator system is practical and can be implemented. This will provide research support for guiding the construction of a strong marine province in Guangdong and building a new Guangdong on the sea. The indicator system must align with the strategic deployment of the central government, the State Council on the construction of a strong maritime country, and the strategic deployment of the provincial government, and the framework of the indicator system must be scientific and systematic, leading the construction of a strong marine province in the whole province. The selection of indicators should be representative, comparable, and operable, in line with the requirements of building a new Guangdong on the sea.
