Hunan vegetable retail prices stop "six consecutive drops", seasonal vegetable buying and selling becomes active
Recently, the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce released the 22nd week market monitoring report on essential goods for 2025. The report shows that vegetable retail prices in Hunan have stopped their "six consecutive declines" with active buying and selling of seasonal vegetables. The monitoring shows that the average retail price of vegetables in the province this week is 7.06 yuan per kilogram, a slight increase of 0.3% compared to the previous week. Among the 30 vegetable varieties of the 7 major categories monitored, prices of 18 rose, 11 fell, and 1 remained stable. Prices of rapeseed, eggplant, pepper, and green onions decreased, while prices of spinach, white radish, lotus root, and lettuce increased. The relevant person in charge of the provincial Department of Commerce stated that currently, production, picking, and transportation in the vegetable market in the province are running smoothly, and overall vegetable prices are stabilizing. It is expected that vegetable prices in the province will continue to fluctuate orderly in the short term on this basis.
