Hong Kong Trade Development Council: Actively assisting companies in seizing e-commerce opportunities, BUD special funding program expanded to Southeast Asian countries.
According to the Wise Financial APP, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong, Edward Yau, pointed out during the Hong Kong Retail Summit that the retail industry in Hong Kong is facing certain challenges due to the ongoing uncertainties in the external economic environment and the structural transformation of the Hong Kong economy. However, challenges often come with opportunities. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council has implemented optimization measures for the BUD special fund in March, expanding the scope of funding for e-commerce to the 10 countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to help enterprises seize e-commerce opportunities. At the same time, enterprises can also apply for funding for projects such as carbon audits, carbon certification, and reducing carbon emissions in production lines to encourage enterprises to engage in cross-border e-commerce and green transformation.
