Ecuador passed a constitutional amendment allowing foreign military bases to be stationed.

On June 3rd local time, the National Assembly of Ecuador passed a constitutional amendment in its second debate with 82 votes in favor, 60 against, and 6 abstentions, allowing foreign countries to establish military bases in Ecuador. The amendment still needs to be approved by a public referendum.
