Portugal Tightens Policies, Will Drive Away Nearly 34,000 Immigrants
The Portuguese government recently announced that nearly 34,000 residency applications from immigrants have been denied, and these immigrants are gradually receiving notices of departure. Minister of State and Foreign Affairs Antnio Lantam Amaral stated that the government is advancing with the deportation of immigrants, and immigrants who receive a notice of departure can voluntarily leave the country. If they refuse to depart, compulsory deportation procedures will be initiated.
