According to reports, the relevant authorities in Hunan province stated that they will seriously implement the responsibility of local supervision, conduct a comprehensive investigation of local strategic mineral export enterprises, establish a ledger, guide enterprises to strengthen compliance system construction, enhance compliance awareness and capabilities, and ensure that control measures are effectively implemented; Guangxi also stated that they will continue to supervise and manage the exploration and mining of national strategic mineral resources, increase efforts to crack down on illegal mining activities such as unauthorized mining, cross-border mining, and mining in place of exploration. In addition, relevant departments in Guizhou, Jiangxi, and Yunnan have also stated that they will implement all work in accordance with their respective responsibilities. The report states that China dominates the production and processing of key minerals globally. The Ministry of Commerce's official website previously announced that the National Export Control Work Coordination Office held a special meeting on May 12 in Changsha, Hunan province, to deploy comprehensive work for the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and 10 other departments, as well as local authorities in Inner Mongolia, Jiangxi, and 7 other provinces; it emphasized the need to strengthen control over the entire chain of extraction, smelting, processing, transportation, manufacturing, sales, and export, and effectively prevent the illegal outflow of strategic mineral resources.
