An article in The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. prosecutors are investigating potential dealings between this Indian business group and sanctioned Iran, leading to a drop in the majority of Adani Group's subsidiary companies' stock prices on Tuesday. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. took the biggest hit, falling by 2.7%, the largest drop in over three weeks; 9 out of 10 stocks in the port-to-power group decreased. The investigation by The Wall Street Journal found that several liquefied petroleum gas tankers that frequently sail between Adani's Mundra port and the Persian Gulf exhibit characteristics and patterns typical of vessels attempting to evade sanctions. The report cited unnamed sources as saying that U.S. authorities are reviewing the activities of tankers that previously delivered goods to Adani enterprises.
