Summer has really arrived in Beijing.

On June 3rd, the Beijing Meteorological Observatory officially announced that the start of summer this year was on May 26th, which is 6 days later than the usual start date of May 20th. According to the national standard of the People's Republic of China - "Climate Season Division", based on the sliding average temperature series of 5 days, the first day with a sliding average temperature of 22 or higher is considered as the start of summer. According to the observations, starting from May 28th, Beijing's sliding average temperature series consistently exceeded 22, and by June 1st, it had reached 5 consecutive days. Therefore, the date of May 26th was determined as the start of summer in Beijing in 2025.
