German police arrest suspect of Hamburg hospital fire.
A fire broke out in a hospital in Hamburg, Germany in the early hours of June 1st, and a patient receiving treatment at the hospital was arrested on suspicion of arson on the same day. According to Deutsche Presse-Agentur, the hospital involved is called St. Mary's Hospital and is located in the Hohnefeld district of Hamburg. The fire started on the first floor in a department specializing in treating elderly patients, spreading to the second floor, resulting in the deaths of three male patients over 80 years old and injuries to dozens of others. Some areas of the hospital were evacuated. Local police said that while questioning witnesses, they discovered a 72-year-old elderly patient who was suspected of arson, and arrested him at the hospital. The police are investigating whether the suspect's mental state is normal.
