Former Microsoft trading chief aims at new private equity fund
According to a report cited by a person familiar with the relevant plans, Chris Yang is planning to establish a private equity fund focusing on acquiring companies, carrying out mergers, and using artificial intelligence to enhance their operational efficiency. The report stated that this executive, who previously led Microsoft's venture capital and mergers and acquisitions team for five years, has disclosed his plan to former colleagues. Yang has expressed interest in acquiring healthcare companies and software companies in industries such as cybersecurity. Previously, independent investor Elad Gil and former partner at Bain Capital Ventures, Sara Hinckfoos, have also taken similar steps.
