Particularly since the second quarter of this year, under the influence of a new round of "price wars", automobile dealers are facing a more severe situation. In order to maintain a good, healthy, and fair market competition order, and promote high-quality development of the automotive industry including the automobile distribution industry, the National Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile Dealers Association proposes the following initiatives: 1. The entire industry should focus on achieving high-quality development in the Chinese automobile industry, strictly adhere to the principles of fair competition, and resolutely resist the "internal competition" behavior primarily in the form of "price wars." 2. Pay attention to brand image. Prevent the frequent adjustments to sales policies and product prices that increase the difficulty of sales for dealers and impact the brand image among consumers. 3. Improve the survival status of automobile dealers. Adhere to rational production based on sales, establish reasonable annual production and sales targets for enterprises and dealers, do not transfer inventory to dealers, do not force dealers to take on excess inventory, effectively reduce dealer inventory levels; address the issue of the inverted pricing between wholesale and retail prices, timely rebate to dealers, shorten the dealer's repayment cycle, and determine the appropriate number of test drive cars to relieve the liquidity pressure on dealers. 4. Optimize commercial policies. Establish dealer assessment indicators reasonably, use penalty methods carefully, and do not use assessments to coerce dealers to achieve corresponding target tasks. 5. Improve the exit mechanism. Do not coerce dealers to exit or close stores under the guise of optimizing network channels. Dealers who do need to exit or close stores should be compensated accordingly.
