Emirates Airlines will allow the A380 jumbo jet to fly until the end of the next decade.
Emirates plans to continue operating its Airbus A380 fleet until the end of the next decade, and will conduct a final upgrade of the first-class cabin before retiring the aircraft type. Due to concerns about the durability of the engines on the Airbus A350-1000 and the delayed delivery of the Boeing 777X, Emirates lacks a clear alternative aircraft type, so it is investing billions of dollars to refurbish its A380 fleet to extend its lifespan. The refurbished A380 will have a four-class layout, including first class, business class, premium economy, and economy class, equipped with luxurious amenities such as enclosed cabins and showers in first class, as well as a public bar on the upper deck.
