The British government has announced plans to invest in building new factories to produce weapons.
The British government announced on May 31st that the UK will construct at least 6 new factories for manufacturing weapons and explosives, in addition to purchasing 7000 domestically manufactured long-range weapons. The corresponding investment totals 1.5 billion pounds, meaning that during this term of the UK parliament, military spending will increase to approximately 60 billion pounds. The British government is set to release the "Strategic Defense Review" on June 2nd, which includes the UK's "ten-year plan" for defense, including the aforementioned details that were first disclosed by the British government.
