National-level pilot cities for digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises announced, Huangshi and Jingmen listed, eligible for billion yuan subsidies.
On May 30, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance announced the list of the third batch of national-level small and medium-sized enterprise digital transformation city pilot projects, with Huangshi and Jingmen cities in Hubei Province selected. Along with Wuhan, Xiangyang, and Yichang, which were included in the first two batches of pilot cities, Hubei Province now has a total of 5 national-level pilot cities, ranking fourth in the country and first in central China. It is understood that the central government will provide a subsidy of 100 million yuan to each prefecture-level city included in the pilot project, with a two-year implementation period. Huangshi and Jingmen cities will provide matching funds in a 1:1 ratio, supporting 450 and 418 small and medium-sized enterprises respectively, to complete the digital transformation task and empower them for high-quality development.
