According to multiple media reports, on May 30th local time, the American Broadcasting Corporation sued the Trump administration over its order to cut federal funding, calling it an "attack on public television." The lawsuit states that the executive order signed by Trump on May 1st violates the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Previously, National Public Radio in the United States also sued the Trump administration over this issue. The lawsuit mentioned that this executive order poses a threat to the survival of the public broadcasting system on which "millions of Americans rely for important news and information."
