The Sichuan Provincial Health Commission investigation team reported on May 31 that recently, the Sichuan Health Commission received a report alleging "a pharmaceutical company is suspected of offering commercial bribes to doctors". The Health Commission attached great importance to this issue and immediately set up an investigation team to work with relevant departments to conduct an investigation and verification. The progress of the investigation and disposal is reported as follows: 1. Investigation situation The report involved 125 medical institution personnel, including 6 duplicated information and 1 false information, verified to be 118 people, distributed in 36 medical institutions. After individual verification, 59 people were found to have illegally collected fees totaling 116,600 yuan for participating in case collection, popular science projects, and other activities; 50 people received reasonable remuneration of 46,600 yuan for participating in academic activities and teaching; 9 people attended related activities without receiving any fees. 2. Disposal situation Related behaviors of some medical personnel mentioned in the report violated the regulations of the nine principles of clean practice for medical institution staff in Sichuan Province. The Commission has instructed the local authorities to conduct in-depth investigations and deal with them seriously according to the law and regulations. The fees illegally collected by the medical personnel have already been fully refunded. Regarding other issues involving the reported enterprise, the Commission has transferred the report clues to relevant departments for handling. Currently, key rectification measures have been carried out in the above-mentioned medical institutions, while deploying a comprehensive clean risk investigation and rectification campaign and strengthening the education on work style throughout the health system in the province. Investigations into the ethical conduct of medical personnel in medical institutions at all levels in the province will be conducted thoroughly.
