The manufacturing PMI showed a slight improvement compared to the previous month, indicating an improvement in the manufacturing industry and a stabilization in economic activity. The manufacturing PMI for May in China was 49.5%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points from the previous month. Looking at the individual indices, the production index was 50.7%, an increase of 0.9 percentage points from the previous month, reaching above the critical point, indicating an acceleration in manufacturing production activities. In terms of demand, the new orders index for May was 49.8%, an increase of 0.6 percentage points from the previous month.
